Bachelor of Science in Conservation Ecology

In cooperation with the Department of Fishery and Wildlife Sciences, the Department offers the Bachelor of Science in Conservation Ecology.This degree will provide training with strong foundations in basic science combined with tools for the management of natural systems.It combines ecological theory and management to instill an interdisciplinary understanding of natural and human influenced ecosystems.Graduates are prepared to address issues and problems of sustainable resource use; conservation of rare, threatened or endangered biota; management of ecosystems; and long-term conservation of biological diversity.Upon graduation students can assume roles in state and federal agencies charged with the stewardship of

New Mexicoís natural resources or they will be equally prepared to pursue advanced degrees in the natural sciences.
