BIOL 311: General Microbiology

Introductory microbiology for science majors (3 credit lecture).

Enrollment: Typically 85 to 95 students.

BIOL 471/550: Molecular and Cellular Mycology

Mycology from a molecular perspective, an examination of advances in understanding of basic cellular process using fungal systems. Topics covered include: pathogenic mechanisms of animals and plants, signalling pathways and fungal development, circadian rhythms, senescence. Aimed at senior undergraduates and graduate students. (3credit lecture)

BIOL 350: Molecular Biology Research Methods

Introductory molecular biology laboratory course for undegraduate participants in the NMSU-Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars Program. Offered in collaboration with Dr. Donovan Bailey.
