not included. Our classroom: snorkeling the Belize coral reef World Heritage Site. We’ll also explore inland jungle, Maya
temples, “ATM” cave, and freshwater , estuary, and mangrove, ecosystems. Inquire about scholarships.

The biochemical basis for gene mutation, recombination, and expression with emphasis on prokaryotes. Includes fundamentals of recombinant DNA technology.
Prerequisites:
BIOL 305 (Genetics), BIOL 311 (General Microbiology), and either passage or concurrent enrollment in BCHE 341 (Survey of Biochemistry) and BCHE 395 (General Biochemistry).
