Graduate students attend a professional development workshop.
PhD Program Content:
- Individual Research Training:
This benefit allows Ph.D. candidates to continue conducting biomedical research under the mentorship of selected faculty. Currently, the MBRS-RISE Program has 41 faculty members in three colleges and eight departments. - Active MBRS-RISE Ph.D. candidates are provided with the following benefits:
- Year-round salary at various levels
- Year-round paid major medical insurance
- Paid tuition for nine credit hours per academic semester
- Travel funds to attend and/or present a paper/publication at a professional scientific conference
- Laboratory supply money for laboratory research needs
Application Process:
To apply for acceptance into the MBRS-RISE PhD Program, please complete and submit the following to the MBRS-RISE Office:- Completed MBRS-RISE PhD Application Form
- A typed statement stating:
- how you would benefit by participating in the MBRS-RISE Program,
- how your participation would help in fulfilling the Program's objectives, and
- your career goals.
- A copy of your Certificate of Admission from the NMSU Graduate School
- Copies of your admission paperwork, from the department you have applied to
