Studying Biology as an Undergraduate at NMSU
In order to study biology at New Mexico State University, a student must first apply to the university. Once accepted, he/she can declare their major as biology (or any of the other degrees offered by the biology department).

Undergraduate: Becoming a Biology Major
In order to become a biology major, the student has to declare biology (or microbiology) as his/her major at the College of Arts and Sciences advising center. After that, advising and mentoring will be taken over by the biology department.
